About Kyle
Kyle Conner is a dedicated guitar player from Savannah, GA who is well versed in a variety of playing styles with a passion for teaching and performing. At the age of 12, Kyle took an interest in the guitar during a recovery from a go-kart racing accident. As his playing progressed throughout high school, he formed a ‘90s alternative rock cover band where he played lead guitar.
A few years later, the opportunity to play guitar at a local church presented itself. Through that experience, he soon found himself touring the states with a Christian rock band where he began to develop the skills of a worship guitarist. When the band parted ways, Kyle used his newfound skills to land an audition playing lead guitar at a church of more than 8,000 members.
After seeing the impact of his service to the church through music, he was encouraged to share his skills with others by offering guitar lessons to students after school. As the roster grew over the years, Kyle’s appreciation for teaching grew with it.
While continuing to teach and play guitar at his local church, Kyle also became a member of a wedding/event band where he regularly performed jazz, funk, rock, blues, and pop music for nearly 5 years. Although much of his skills have come from “on the job” experience, his love for music education has allowed him to teach students of all ages for the last 13 years, and has inspired him to pursue a Bachelor of Professional Studies degree in Guitar at Berklee Online to further his education and abilities to do what he loves.
Kyle is now living in Nashville, TN where he teaches at a local guitar shop and serves on the worship team at Church of the City.
