artist statement

My intentions are simple. I play music because it makes me happy, and I want to share that contagious energy with the people around me. I believe this world is far too busy, and anxious, and full of unnecessary trouble that we create for ourselves. But when I create, perform, or even just listen to good music, it heals the soul and makes some of those troubles fall away. 

As an artist, I hope to create music that speaks truth into the lives of the listeners. The truth that we don’t have to live in fear, anxiety, or depression, but rather hope, joy, love, and appreciation for one another. I want my music to encourage, motivate, and inspire people. As a working musician, I intend to write or perform with artists who share the same vision. 

Whether I’m working with other artists or creating my own music, my goal is to play music that I enjoy and believe in at a level in which I can earn a living doing what I love. I truly enjoy the people that I’ve had the privilege of playing music with, and hope to continue connecting with likeminded musicians to create meaningful art that heals the soul.
